lyrics
Fingers crossed lying on your back
Strict convictions slipping through the cracks
No time to mourn the thing we had
Why keep the counterfeit in tact
Nothing new, is it true
Tell me now what I've been waiting for
Think of all the things that could be
Can you learn to live without me
As you sprint to chase me out the door
Think of all the times you stopped me
Always saying you still want me
Over time you faced the facts
Feelings forced are feelings lacked
What's the cost of dignity
Is it more than being free
Nothing new, is it true
Tell me now what I've been waiting for
Thinking of all the things that could be
Can you learn to live without me
As you sprint to chase me out the door
Think of all the times you stopped me
Always saying you still want me
Always saying you still want me
Saying you, saying you still
Chase me, want me
Saying you, saying you, saying you still want me
Tell me now what we were fighting for
Think of all the things that could be
Can you learn to live without me
As you sprint to chase me out the door
Think of all the times you stopped me
Always saying you still want me

Been following Somos for many years, feeling that they had an opus in them...well, here it is. Driving pop-punk sensibilities lend an upbeat tone in contrast to the grim lyrical proceedings, and they absolutely pull it off. Evocative music that's been on repeat for me all month long. RIP, Phil PaintedDogs
One of my favorite albums of all time. Turnover really hit a sound here that resonates with me deeply, and I often find myself coming back to this record and falling in love with it all over again. The drums and bass are greatly underrated on this album, creating their own unique melodies that fit within the song and create something new rather than just follow the guitars. Nothing beats the somehow joyful and somber sound of this record. Rob Carpenter
Hopscotching from jangle pop and post-hardcore to math rock and shoegaze, these Minnesota rockers have a gift for musical multitasking. Bandcamp New & Notable Feb 29, 2024
The final album from late Minneapolis musician Ed Ackerson is bursting with the kind of bright, memorable power-pop for which he was known. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 9, 2020
